5 Months Old

Holt is 5 months old!!! He is such a sweet baby. He is still all smiles which makes my heart melt. He is so aware of his surroundings and he loves to people watch. He is rolling over from his back to his stomach and sometimes ends up sleeping on his stomach. For the most part, he is sleeping through the night from 6:30 PM to 7 AM.  He is still having every symptom of teething but no teeth to show for it. He eats at 7, 11, 3, 6:30 and we started giving him a little bit of oatmeal at his bedtime feeding. He can sit up on his own but not for very long periods of time. He is reaching for things now which is a lot of fun to watch. He still loves his jumper and enjoys being outside.

Daycare is going well. However, we are currently battling our first bout of illness. Last night, Holt spiked a fever of 102 and we were up most of the night because he simply didn't feel good. We took him to the doctor today and he has a cold virus that the doctor thinks will last for several more days. He does ok as long as his fever is low grade but once the Tylenol starts to wear off, he gets fussy. We made it 5 months to the day without any sickness but when your baby is in daycare, sickness just comes with the territory. I really hope he starts to feel better soon because it breaks my heart that he feels so crummy.
