Holt turned 13 months on June 16th. The boy in him comes out more and more each day and it is exhausting but of course fun too! He is into everything and never stops. He loves to be outside (just like his daddy). He will point and whine at the back door until one of us takes him outside. He has grown fond of the dog's frisbee and tries to throw it but often times he just ends up hitting the dogs with it. I think its cute...dogs not so much. He also loves the water. At school, they have swim day on Tuesday's and Friday's and they said he loves it and we have taken him to the pool a few times and he seems to really enjoy splashing around in the baby pool. He is very playful and loves to play "hide and seek" or chase mom and dad. The bottom line is that he wants to be on the move all the time and expects you to be moving too.
He has started moving and grooving to music a lot more. Every time a song comes on, he starts to bob his little head and now spins around in circles. It is hilarious! He is following certain commands very well...such as: he goes to his chair when we say its time to eat, he grabs his shoes when we ask him to put his shoes on, he runs to his room to be changed when we ask him if he has a stinky, etc. He can point out parts of the body such as eyes, ears, nose, etc. He is babbling a lot but I can't say he is saying anything more than he was last month but he definitely recognizes words because he will point to the object when we say it if he knows it.
He is only taking one nap a day and is still sleeping from about 6:30-6:30. He has a bottom tooth coming in right now so he has a total of 5.
He is still very sweet but has some tantrums now and then. They are not fun but mostly only happen when he is very tired or hungry.
We love you so much Holt...Happy belated 13 months!
