16 Months Old and Holt's 1st Beach Trip

Holt was 16 months old back on September 16th. I know...I am behind on blogging...but better late than never. He is talking a lot more and tries very hard to repeat everything that he hears. He still eats pretty well but I feel like he has become more picky over the last month. I am hoping this is just a phase. I am currently working to get Holt moved into a big boy room in preparation for baby number 2. It is slowly but surely coming along. Other than that, I feel like not much has changed. He is still our wild little boy with a sweet spirit.

We headed down to Seagrove last week for Holt's first trip to the beach. We almost didn't make it because Holt developed a bad case of croup the day before we were suppose to leave and we had to go to the ER. However, he responded so well to the treatment that Holt's pediatrician gave us the okay to go to the beach.

It was a great trip! Holt wasn't sure about the sand at first, but after about 10 seconds he was loving everything about the beach. He played, played, played! We headed to Seaside and enjoyed dinner at the Great Southern Cafe on Friday night. Holt had his first taste of strawberry ice cream after dinner. Saturday, we ordered in and watched the Alabama/Ole Miss game. It was short but wonderful trip and I am looking forward to heading back down to the gulf!
