6 Months Old

Holt is 6 months old! Seriously! It makes my heart hurt to think my sweet baby is growing up so fast. This has been such a fun month. Holt has been sitting up for several weeks now and his balance has improved greatly. He is trying to sit up from the lying down position but hasn't been successful just yet. From my last post you know that we have started solid foods at dinner time. So far, we have tried peas, squash, and sweet potatoes. We are going to start adding fruits at breakfast tomorrow! I am still nursing (pumping) and he gets 7oz bottles at 7, 11, 3, and 6:30. He still naps from about 9-11 and 2-3:30 and he sleeps all night from about 6:30-6:30. He finally cut his first tooth this morning.

We went for his 6 month appointment today and Holt received a clean bill of health. He got 4 shots: DTaP, Hib, PCV, and flu. He also had the Rota vaccine. Holt had a big growth spurt since his 4 month check up. His stats are listed below.

Height: 27.25 inches (90%)

Weight: 17 lbs 14 oz (50%)

Head Circumference: 17 inches (50%)



Holt is very alert and is babbling all the time but we can't make out anything that he is saying. His favorite thing right now is our dogs. Mom and dad are chopped liver when Bully and Max are in the room. He still remains a very very happy baby.

Below are some pictures from our 6 month photo session. He is grabbing at everything which makes it very difficult to get a cute picture of him with his "month" sign. As you will notice, Holt is sporting a Mohawk! Love it!
